You can find more information at . Greetings and Happy New Year! With 2005 behind us, we wanted to take this opportunity to wrap up our news for the year, as well as give you a sneak peak at what's in store for 2006. First and foremost, we want to thank all of you for your continued support of MacSpeech. We continued to grow in 2005, and added many new products to our line up. - 2005 started with a revamp of our technical support department so we could respond to our customers faster than ever. We now guarantee a response within 2 business days, but in reality, we are much much quicker - usually only an hour or two (the "two business days" guarantee is mostly to cover us for times like Macworld, when our entire staff is unavailable during the day). In fact, we have gotten so good one customer even wrote the following ""In all these 30 something years in the IT business, I have seen very few businesses like MacSpeech. Your technical support is far beyond any expectation. The high standards of services, the promptness of answering for support and the amazing willingness of the support people to solve problems can be considered an exception to what we see today." - Early last year, we released version 1.6.8 of iListen, which Charles Moore of AppleLinks called "the most stable release yet" adding "This comprehensive and versatile speech software package is now faster and slicker with new Tiger support features." - Soon after the release of 1.6.8 for US English came releases for UK English, Australian/New Zealand English, German, and Italian. At next week's Macworld we are announcing the opening of our Australian ScriptPak store. - In May we introduced iListen MX, which includes our critically acclaimed MouseAnywhere? ScriptPak, as well as enhanced commands and a high-quality VXi microphone. iListen MX is exclusively available through either our online store or from participating Apple Specialists. - Throughout the year we released new ScriptPaks, which add commands for many of your favorite applications. Released recently were ScriptPaks for Microsoft Word 2004, Microsoft Excel 2004, Microsoft Entourage 2004, Microsoft PowerPoint 2004, BBEdit, iDVD 3, iMovie HD, iPhoto 5, iTunes 6, GarageBand 2, Mail 2.0, Safari 2.0, Final Draft 7, and Quicken 2006. We will continue to bring you great add-ons and long-awaited updates throughout 2006. Watch for our release of iLife 05 and Microsoft Office 2004 ScriptPak bundles at next week's Macworld, as well as ScriptPaks for QuickBooks Pro 2006, TurboTax 2005, and many others in the coming months. Speaking of Macworld, if any of you are attending next week's expo, please stop by and say Hi! at our booth, number 738. We'd love to see you, and you can be among the first to get a peak at what we have in store for 2006. I'd say more, but I promised to keep it under wraps until next week. We will also be back on the road in 2006, bringing presentations featuring iListen and hands-on help to Apple stores and user groups throughout the US and possibly England. For a list of our upcoming road show locations, visit our home page and check the upper part of the left column. MacSpeech had exciting growth in 2005 and we are off to a roaring start in 2006. We'll make sure to keep you up to date with the latest news. To show our appreciation for your continued support we'd like to offer you $5 off anything in our online store. This offer is exclusive to subscribers of this list, and expires on 1/31/2006. You can find more information at . Greetings! As January comes to a close we wanted to bring you up to date on some the exciting stuff that has been happening at MacSpeech. Macworld Expo was a huge success for us, as we once again nearly sold out of the products we brought to the show. We also introduced a new Spanish LanguagePak, which sells for $75 and is available immediately from our online store. January also saw the release of our ScriptPaks for Quicken 2006, QuickBooks Pro 2006, and TurboTax 2005. These new ScriptPaks allow you to control those applications with your voice. As with all ScriptPaks, they have no effect on iListen's built-in ability to dictate nearly anywhere you would normally type. The new ScriptPaks are available immediately in our online store. We are also pleased to announce that iListen will soon be available in the Apple retail stores in the United Kingdom. To celebrate, we are giving presentations at each store next week. If you live in England, please try to visit one of these presentations and get your questions about iListen answered: 30 January 5PM - Meadowhall Apple Store, Sheffield 31 January 7PM - Trafford Centre Apple Store, Manchester 01 February 7PM - Regent Street Apple Store, London 02 February 7PM - Regent Street Apple Store, London 03 February 7PM - Bull Ring Apple Store, Birmingham 04 February 7PM - Bluewater Apple Store, Greenhithe, Kent Our most frequently asked questions these days is "will iListen work on the new Intel-based Macs?" and "when will iListen be native?" The good news is that iListen works fine on the new Intel-based Macs, running under the built-in Rosetta emulation. Performance is about the same as you would get on a new G5. We are also working on a native version of iListen for later this year. It will be released as soon as development and testing are complete. This month we'd like to offer our customers a special deal from our friends at Mariner Software. For a limited time you can buy MacJournal directly from our online store for $29.95 (plus shipping). That's $5 off the normal retail price, and it includes our MacJournal ScriptPak ? for a savings of $15! MacJournal is the world's most popular journaling software for the Macintosh. Create a personal journal, record daily ideas, manage scripts and novels, or generate blogs, MacJournal has the power and functionality to do it all. Buying from our online store couldn't be easier - simply point your browser to www.macspeech.com and click the word "Store" at the top of the page.
