The only way to get on this list is for you or someone know to subscribed you. We do not auto-subscribe anyone. To keep our messages to your inbox as few as possible we are going to limit these to no more than once a month unless we have an important update announcement between newsletters. You can unsubscribe at . This as been a busy year so far for MacSpeech. Our last communication to you was on January 27th, when we told you about our new Spanish LanguagePak, and ScriptPaks for TurboTax, Quicken 2006 and QuickBooks Pro 2006. Since then we have released ScriptPaks for Final Draft, iLife 05, iWeb, Pages 2.0, Keynote 3.0, iWork 06 and Microsoft Office 2004. All of these are available in our online store. Of course, the first question everyone asks these days is when will there be a Universal Binary (or native) version of iListen? The good news is that you don't have to wait. We have tested iListen on the new Intel iMac and it works fine. We have heard it works fine on the MacBook Pro as well, although you may have to read one story at a time and let it analyze before reading another due to a problem we haven't pinned down that seems to apply only to that model. We are hard at work on a native version of iListen, and expect to be finished with it later this year. Obviously, we hope it is finished sooner, rather than later, but having been down this road not once, but twice before (going from 68K code to PPC, and then Mac OS 9 to Mac OS X), we know that its done when its done, and not a minute before. Looking ahead, we have some new ScriptPaks in the pipeline, including ones for iLife 06, Nisus Express, and a host of others. We are also in the process of testing some new microphones and hope to have some great announcements about those in the future. Another question we frequently get is about upgrades. If you have any version prior to 1.5 you can upgrade to 1.6.8 for $39.95 from our online store. You will receive a disk image to download the full version of iListen. All you will need to use it is your original Activation Code. If you have any version from 1.5 on, you can upgrade for free from our web site. If you have lost your Activation Code, we would be happy to provide it, as long as we have a record in our registration database for you. Contact for more information. If you are one of those who have been meaning to try IListen (or try it again), now is a great time to do so. The software is better than ever, and we are now also providing more resources than ever to help you get up and running.
