Please see the end of this message for unsubscribe information. Our last email to the Announce List was on August 8th where we reminded you about iListen 1.7, announced a new update bundle, and talked about some upcoming events. Since then, a lot has happened! Let's take a look: iLISTEN FREE UPGRADE OFFER EXPIRES SEPTEMBER 30, 2006 ===================================================== In our last newsletter we said the free upgrade offer would expire in early September. Due to its overwhelming popularity we have extended the free upgrade offer through September 30, 2006 - but that is absolutely the last day those who are entitled to a free upgrade can get it. After that, you will have to pay $39.95 just like everyone else. If you haven't upgraded yet, now is the time! And if you purchased iListen on or after April 1, 2006 REMEMBER! - you are entitled to a free upgrade. If this applies to you, please email to find out how to get your free upgrade. We are also offering a special bundle of the update with our popular "Watch and Learn" video training and a Plantronics DSP 200 USB Stereo Headset microphone, regularly priced at $138.90, for a limited time you can purchase this bundle for only $99.00! For more details see the following page on our web site: http://www.macspeech.com/product_info.php?products_id=437 This offer also expires on September 30, 2006! TRANSCRIPTIONPAK RELEASED =========================== We released our TranscriptionPak for iListen 1.7 in August. This is normally a $75 add-on to iListen 1.7, but is on sale for the Introductory price of only $37.50 (that's half price!) until September 30th. The TranscriptionPak allows you to take speech recorded on an audio file and have iListen transcribe it as though you were speaking live. Keep in mind, the TranscriptionPak is only for users of version 1.7, and is NOT intended for use with recordings of interviews, speeches, or lectures. There still needs to be a voice profile that matches the voice on the recording, and there can only be one voice on the recording. You can read more about how transcription using iListen works in the following article in our online Knowledgebase: What Are the Limitations for Transcription of Recorded Files? http://macspeech.crmhelp.net/index.php? _a=knowledgebase&_j=questiondetails&_i=2&nav2=Using%20iListen If you are interested in the TranscriptionPak, REMEMBER - 1.7 is required and the Introductory Offer expires on September 30, 2006. GARAGEBAND 3 SCRIPTPAK RELEASED ================================== We released our ScriptPak for GarageBand 3 last week. It has over 100 commands and is our first ScriptPak to use the new Parameterized variable feature of iLIsten 1.7. This means that if you are using iListen 1.7 and have the GarageBand 3 ScriptPak installed you can say things like "Move forward measures," where is a number between 1 and 99. This is an important new feature because in previous GarageBand ScriptPaks you could only move 1 measure at a time (which meant in order to move forward 15 measures, you would have to say "move forward one measure" 15 times!). The ScriptPak for GarageBand 3 sells for $15 and is available now from our online store. iLIFE 06 SCRIPTPAK COMING SOON ============================== GarageBand 3 was the last ScriptPak we needed to finish for the iLife 06 bundle. So it follows that we will be coming out with the iLife 06 ScriptPak bundle in the near future. Like the ScriptPak for iLife 05, it will sell for $29, which is quite a deal considering you get ScriptPaks for all five iLife applications (GarageBand, iDVD, iMovie, iPhoto, and iWeb). Purchased separately, those would run you $75. (Yes, we are working on a new ScriptPak for iTunes 7.) Many people ask us why we don't have upgrade pricing on ScriptPaks. This is because each version is created from the ground up It would take us as long to determine what changes have been made between versions as it does to just create a new ScriptPak. This also explains why some take longer than others to release (although in the case of GarageBand, we knew 1.7 would be coming out so we waited for that so we could put in the new "Move forward measures" feature). NEW MACSPEECH EVANGELISTAS MAILING LIST ======================================== Are you a fan of iListen and MacSpeech? Are you more than a fan, a bit of a fanatic maybe? Than you are a MacSpeech Evangelista and we have a new mailing list just for you. MacSpeech-Evangelistas is for anyone who is a power user of iListen or a MacSpeech fan. It is a non- moderated, interactive list where you can share cool and innovative things you have done with iListen, or where you can ask other Evangelistas how they solved a difficult problem.
